For starters, it has 8GB of memory, which is a bit mind-blowing for a device that small. It’s Wi-Fi and Bluetooth-friendly, and its talk and surf capabilities incorporate 3G, EDGE, and HSDPA.

The N81 has two cameras, one 2-megapixel and the other CIF. It has a music player, which can play up to 12.5 hours before the battery dies. It has dedicated music and gaming keys, which suggests one-touch. It also has a navigation wheel.

  • Symbian smartphone use explodes

    Nokia N95
High-end smartphones such as the Nokia N95 and Sony Ericsson W950i Walkman are becoming increasingly popular. Some 15.9 million Symbian -powered mobiles were shipped in the first 3 months of this year.

The latest figures from Symbian represent a 35.9 per cent increase on the number recorded for the same quarter last year. The increasing dominance of the Symbian smartphone platform demonstrates the difficulty facing Microsoft ’s Windows Mobile platform and the soon-to-launch Apple iPhone . Making headway into the lucrative high-end smartphone market is not an easy task.

Since the Symbian platform launched in 2000, over 126 million Symbian smartphones have been sold. There are now 114 Symbian mobile models on the market - 73 per cent up on a year ago. Nokia has led the way for Symbian with numerous popular S60 handset including recently the N73 and N95.

The latest estimates for smartphone usage worldwide give Symbian a 72 per cent share of the smartphone market. Windows Mobile takes around 6 per cent and Linux around 17 per cent. With the latest Windows Mobile 6 release, Microsoft is hoping to boost its share of the smartphone market.

    Nokia N75
Mobile Tech Review - 5/16/2007 - has reviewed the Nokia N75 and they write, “In general, we love Nokia S60 phones. While the N75 doesn’t earn our outright love, it still gets a positive nod. The good features outweigh the bad, and indeed there are many good features like the fantastic display, easy to use S60 interface and software, good music playback quality and features, Cingular Video support, excellent voice quality and good call volume, strong speakerphone and 2MP camera. It’s a smartphone that’s easy to use and sync and it has good multimedia skills. And it speaks to Americans’ love of the flip phone, though it doesn’t appeal to a high sense of fashion. But the rose has a few thorns: lack of the faster HSPDA standard which road warriors may crave, short battery life and that darned Pop Port headset connector with no headset or headset adapter in the box. I mean c’mon Cingular: folks can’t even use the FM radio without that headset. Our other quibbles are smaller and have to do with Cingular’s choices such as putting the WAP browser closer at hand than the real HTML web browser, disabling manual network selection and 3G vs. GSM manual selection and marketing this smartphone which competes with the Cingular 3125 as a music phone instead.

  • The Nokia N800 is better that one iPhone?
    By admin on May 16, 2007 | 2 Comments2 Comments Comments

It sees 10 justifications for this

    1. Price: the N800 costs US$ 400 approximately, while iPhone cost between US$ 500 and US$ 600, as the model

    2. Operational system (SO) of open code: the N800 brings Linux as SO, while the competitor of the Apple brings the one X, that is proprietor.

    3. Applicatory of third: As what it was said above, iPhone will not allow that you it installs softwares not authorized for the Apple, in contrast of the N800, that will liberate such procedure

    4. The N800 does not demand contract with definitive operators: in contrast of iPhone, that it only can be bought if you will be (or to want) to be customer of the Cingular

    5. Storage: The N800 brings slot for cards SD, miniSD, microSD, MMC and RS-MMC, allowing to extend its memory in until 4GB. Already iPhone has a closed HD, that it does not allow expansibilidade.

    6. Audio ampler video and support: The N800 is capable to read the most varied formats of audio and video. iPhone is only compatible with MP3, AAC and MPEG4

    7. It is not a cellular telephone: according to blog, the N800 is not only one mobile telephone and yes a minicomputer, that you can leave in house when she will want. Already iPhone was conceived as a cellular one and that it will be always with you to bother it and to the others. (this point is relatively arguable)

    8. Compatibility with VoIP system: beyond the possibility to install others softwares, the N800 supports Skype, Google Talk, Gizmo, among others.

    9. The N800 brings webcam: with this resource it is possible that the user carries through videoconferências. iPhone does not offer this functionality

    10. Already this for sale one: you can find the N800 in specialized store or saw Internet. Already iPhone, only in authorized store of the Cingular or.

The N800 brings slot for cards SD, miniSD, microSD, MMC and RS-MMC, allowing to extend its memory in until 4GB. Already iPhone has a closed HD, that it does not allow expansibilidade. 6.

After the cited reasons, you it finds that the N800 can for cellular of the Apple pra eat dust? Or iPhone goes to justify the fame of innovator of the company of Steve Jobs? It gives its opinion!
