Dell Offering Nokia Devices and Accessories

  • I told you about it back in April, and confirmed more details in May, and I’m pleased to let you know that Dell is now offering several high-end unbranded Nokia handsets, as well as a TON of accessories. Here’s the link showing it all, and the prices aren’t that bad, either.Highlights include the Nokia N80ie at $447, the E61i (which was only officially launched in the US a week ago) at $423, and a bevy of accessories, including the SU-8W Bluetooth keyboard and the Navkit for the N800. Head on over if you’ve got some room on your Dell Credit Card, and spend away.

This is huge, in my opinion. I’ve actually had a few conversations about it recently, mostly in regards to the struggling E-series division. Think hard about this Dell distribution deal. You can now get E61i’s through Dell. Why does that matter? Because this allows Nokia to position themselves within some of the largest corporations on the planet. For instance, Time Warner Cable Media Sales, of which I am an employee. We are a Dell-only shop. Servers, printers, laptops, desktops, the whole shebang. However, for Blackberries and cellphones, we’re not. And there’s a ton of things that our IT director hates about Blackberries. But now that he can switch us all to E61i’s instead of Blackberries? That’s HUGE. I would imagine that Dell’s got their sales people up to speed with this, particularly with B2B. It opens up a whole other market.
