Nokia N78 released in IndiaBy Editor on July 16, 2008 | No Comments

Nokia N78 - the latest handset released by Nokia. This time it’s launched in India with offering the same function like in all over the world.
N78 is successor of N77 model, which still being sold in all world markets. N95 released in India offers exactly the same features like elsewhere. The N78 was first announced in February, during 2008, together with Nokia N96, which should be released somewhere in August.
N78 design is really not unique one. It’s not as attractive as other Nokias Nseries designs, having a classic candybar form factor. The only thing that actually stands out is its semi-flat keypad that, although it looks too small for a proper use, it’s friendlier than it appears to be.
While the design is not its strong side, the N78 can impress with its features. N78 offer us a great Symbian S60 3.2 operating system, GPS, Nokia Maps and Wi-Fi is great like in other N series devices, a 2.4 inch TFT display with 16 million colors and a QVGA resolution (240 x 320 pixels) makes a brilliant first impress about his device. Also, there is a 3.2 Mega Pixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics, auto focus, flash. We can say that N78 provides almost everything what someone can want from phones photo camera.
India can be glad that they can sell N78 for lowest price in the world 19,999 INR (470 USD or 300 Euros). In Finland, N78 was sold by the 700 USD or 450 Euros and it’s much more.
At the moment, N78 is released in only some of worlds countries, but with the time, N78 device should hit all important worlds markets.

Nokia N95-3 with Firmware update - 20.02.011 versionBy Editor on July 14, 2008 | No Comments
Nokia just released new Firmware update for North America N95 users. Update give more speed, more applications and, of course, much more improvements on the N95 device.
First of all, let’s clear it out that means N95-3. We all know that Nokia released N95 in Europe - it’s also know as N95-1. N95-2 is official version of N95 8GB in Europe. And finally N95-3 is N95 official released in North America, this update is just for North America users, that why we call it N95-3 in here. Moreover, N95-4 is official North America N95 8GB phone.
Let’s talk about update, first of all, Firmware update brings more speed to N95-3, for example not boot-up time for device is less that 20 seconds and camera now starts in only 2 seconds. It’s great win and great new to all N95-3 owners.
Update also include support for Flash Lite 3. That means that now users can watch Flash video directly from the Web, for example: from Youtube or other same nature web places.
Moreover, the new firmware brings an improved “Search” application, N-Gage demos and other games like “Midnight Pool”, “Lumines Puzzle Fusion”, “Brain Challenge”, “Sudoku” and “JellyPOP”.
There are no clearly details when Nokia release update for N95 8GB of North America, but it should happen soon too.

Nokia N93 most weirdly designed phoneBy Editor on July 14, 2008 | No Comments
Nokia N93, together with N90, N92 and N93i models, are ones of the most weirdly designed phones. Not only by Nokia, but by any other mobile phones producer in the world. But direction of an Nokia office doesn’t care too much about that and promising that N93-like phone maybe will be released about 2010.
Since 2010 Nokia doesn’t plan to release any phone like N93 and till then are no clearly details about that. But if Nokia do not release any N93-like phone until 2010, it is possible that we will never see again that weird but nice design of N93. And N90, N92, N93 and N93i owners probably will be a bit disappointed because they might will never see up-to-date successor of they current devices.
Released in 2006, Nokia N93 was the most advanced multimedia device at the time, offering to us a great 3.2 Megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics and auto focus ability, flash and high-quality (DVD-like) video recording. Moreover, its camcorder-like form factor allowed users to open it in three ways, depending on what features they wanted to use: phone-only, messaging/emails, or photo/video camera.
It would be nice that Nokia release a successor of N93i in next year or years. Of course it would be the the great victory for Nokia and to all N93i fans and owners.

China makes ultimate Nokia N96 cloneBy Editor on July 14, 2008 | No Comments
I guess Nokia phones are most cloned devices ever. Irony is there, that Nokia do not even released N96, but someone already done it for Nokia. Of course it is jokes, but it’s a reality too.
The identical N96 comes from China. It’s really no surprise here, because China like to clone phones one by one. They offer this handset only for 249$ for those who are intrested in this.
Chinese presented this device as a “best mobile phone released out there”. Also, producer of the phone said that is a “fashionable PDA“, but I guess it will be a surprise then producers will get to know that N96 is not a PDA.
If we take a look what this clone is offering for us, we’ll realize that is far from the real N96, which should hit the markets in August. Clone include: tri-band GSM connectivity, a 3.0 inch diagnol screen with 262K colors and a 320 x 240 pixel resolution and I can say that this is very far from the real N96 functions. Stereo Bluetooth, dual 3D speakers, FM radio, embedded games is also integrated in N96-like device. 2 Mega pixels camera with flash and video recording make us to laugh if we’ll take a look at real N96, which is offering 6 Mega pixels. Moreover, clone support these languages: Chinese, English, French, Portuguese, Spanish and so on…
Limited tri-band GSM connectivity do not allow to use this device in North America, so I guess there are no people, who wish to get this clone.

78 we’ll see quad-band GSM connectivity, dual-band 3G / HSDPA connectivity, which gives an ability to work in Europe and in USA too, Wi-Fi and A-GPS, GPS. Now let’s take a look at screen of the device: 2.4 inch diagnol with over than 16 million colors and 240 x 320 pixels is really enjoyable, Media player with many supported formats, 3.5mm audio jack, stereo FM radio and FM transmitter, “push to talk” technology. Photo camera of the phones still great: 3.2 Megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss lens, flash, auto focus and video, 70MB of interior memory and microSD card support for up to 8GB. Weight of the handset is only 101 grams, measures 113 x 49 x 15.1 millimeters and includes a Li-Ion 1200 mAh battery capable of providing up to 4.3 hours of talk-time and up to 320 hours of stand-by time.White N78 should really be an attractive phone to all users.
