BANGALORE: Nokia today announced the launch of its new Nseries multimedia device – the Nokia N92. The company claims this is the world’s first DVB-H enabled handset that supports LIVE Broadcast Mobile TV. Nokia’s announcement follows the recent launch of DVB-H Mobile TV services in Delhi by national broadcaster Doordarshan. The service currently comprises 8 popular Free-to-Air Doordarshan channels [DD National, DD News, DD Sports, DD Bharati, DD Urdu, DD Punjabi, DD Bangla and DD Podhigai] supported on DVB-H compliant handsets.Speaking on the occasion, Nokia director multimedia Vineet Taneja said, “Mobile phones today have emerged as a powerful multimedia convergence device, capable of executing a myriad of tasks and applications. Within a quick span, they have become the preferred mode for information & entertainment and we are glad to bring the Nseries flagship device – the new N92 to mobile users in the country.”He further added, “Television viewing has come a long way with close to 500 million viewers in the country today. With the growing popularity of mobile devices and its capability to offer instant access to information and entertainment, this initiative will bring in the perfect synergy between television content and the mobile platform.”

I haven’t heard or seen many people with this phone. I certainly have not an unboxing video of this phone yet so this is an interesting clip. It’s a nice phone with a similar design to the N93/N93i but I find it a bit too big. Enjoy the clip.
